The final thing I want to do is stream to my PS3 or XBOX. So if I put that partition on the NAS, will it operate the same, and run the same? I also have a MacBook Air, which doesn't have much of a HD so don't want to much stuff on here! I also use my Air with Parallels, with Windows 7, which is currently on an External HD plugged in via USB. I have alot of music/movies/photos on my iMac, which I want to put on the NAS just as general storage really. Right, now onto what I want to use it for. The main things connecting to the NAS will be my 2 Macs, my Dads Mac, and my PS3/Xbox. My router is situated in my hall way, can I just run an ethernet cable into my office to connect to the NAS? Also, my connection speed is about 1.8mb, will this make any difference in terms of streaming/copying files over the network? I am pretty settled on the ReadyNas Duo and I am pretty certain this will meet my needs but just want to be sure. Hi, I've been reading through all the NAS Advice threads on here and couldn't seem to find much on what I need.
